Two of its partners have also been singled out as ‘leading lawyers’ nationwide, and six of its practice areas have achieved top tier status.

Chief executive Ian Hopkins congratulated family law expert Sue Andrews and commercial litigation and dispute resolution specialist Craig Williams.

“We are all absolutely thrilled that their hard work and dedication has been recognised by such a prestigious organisation as the Legal 500 and, on behalf of the whole team, we are also delighted to have retained our ranking as a regional heavyweight,” he said.

“To have achieved these results, alongside our top ranking for six of our practice areas, makes me extremely proud and demonstrates the breadth of unrivalled service that we can offer to both businesses and individuals alike.”

The six areas to have achieved top tier status are corporate and commercial, commercial litigation, employment, family, environment and private client.

Sealing its regional heavyweight status by ‘attracting exceptional feedback’, the firm rose in the rankings for several of its core practice areas.

The corporate and commercial team, environment practice and commercial litigation team were praised for their work after making the jump from tier two to tier one.

Staff on the family practice, employment, and private client teams were also all praised.

Moving up from band three to band two, the contentious trusts and probate team received special praise, and the tier two ranked business immigration team also received a mention.

The commercial property team and real estate group were all ranked in band three.

The property litigation team has also recently been strengthened by the arrival of new associate Sandy Patel.
