Two teenagers shot in targetted attack
TWO teenage boys were rushed to hospital after being shot in a Bucks park at the weekend.
Neither of the youths, aged 15 and 17, had life threatening injuries, although the 15-year-old’s injuries were said to be ‘serious.’
The 17-year-old has leg injuries.
Police say they arrived at the scene of the suspected shooting at 6.40pm on Sunday after receiving a report that two teenage boys had been assaulted in parkland off Stomp Road, Burnham.
two injured youths with “injuries believed to have been caused by a discharged firearm”.
Both boys were taken by ambulance to hospital.
On Tuesday, police arrested two 18-year-old men, one from Burnham and one from Slough, on suspicion of attempted murder.
Later on Tuesday, police arrested a 24-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy, both from Burnham, on suspicion of attempted murder.
All four remained in police custody at the time of going to press.
Det Insp Andy Williams, from High Wycombe Force CID , said: “Detectives are currently working to establish the circumstances of this serious incident and to identify and locate the offenders.
“I would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything in the park at around the time of the incident, who has not already spoken to police, as they may have vital information which could assist the investigation.
“Our initial enquiries indicate this is not a random attack however high visibility patrols are taking place in the vicinity of the incident and in the neighbouring areas.
“If you do have any concerns please feel free to approach an officer or call 101 to speak to a member of the neighbourhood team.”
