New parking services promises to simplify process
COUNCILS in Bucks have changed the company which provides them with parking services.
South Bucks and Chiltern District Councils have teamed up with RingGo, which will provide cashless parking at its car parks in both district.
It means that customers who signed up with previous providers Parkmobile and Paybyphone will now need to register with RingGo.
South Bucks District Councillor Luisa Sullivan said: “The new service goes live on Sunday, November 1, and it will be offering residents, shoppers and visitors a simple and efficient way of paying to park their cars in the council-run car parks.
“Switching providers will make it easier for local motorists, because they’ll already be registered when they use car parks in the Chiltern district.”
Chiltern District Councillor Mike Smith said: “Who among us hasn’t been driven mad by not having the right change for parking?
“Or who has worried that you won’t get back to your car before your ticket expires?
“We all seem to carry less cash these days and it makes sense to have the same cashless parking provider across both councils – I’m sure it will make life much easier for our residents.”
