Artists to put their works on display

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

LOCAL artists will showcase their work at a fair next month.

The Artists’ and Makers’ Fair is coming to Great Missenden Memorial Centre in Link Road on Saturday, November 14 from 10am to 4pm.

The fair will bring together a wealth of local artisans including painters, a photographer, ceramicists, jewellers, a chocolatier, a children’s book illustrator, wood turner, textile and glassmakers.

The event will showcase local artist Sue Graham, who will be displaying her vibrant acrylic paintings. Her recent work has been influenced by a recent move to Commercial Square Studios in High Wycombe but still returns to previous themes of birdsong, local woods, landscape, and colour and themes.

Organiser of the fair Sally Evans said “I’m delighted to welcome some wonderful, local artistic talent for the first time in Great Missenden.

“I have specifically chosen the venue because of its location in this pretty village. I really hope that people will visit the event, marvel at the artists’ skills and even take home some beautiful handcrafted pieces of art.”

The fair will also take place in Wendover on Saturday November 21 and Thame on Saturday November 28.
