Getting to the art of the matter
AHOST of Buckinghamshire artists have joined forces to put together an annual art fair.
The Friends and Patrons of the Buckinghamshire County Museum is launching its eighth Off the Wall art fair at the Buckinghamshire County Museum in Aylesbury next month.
The fair will run from Saturday, November 14 to December 12.
The event is an opportunity to do some early Christmas shopping, visitors can buy unique and affordable works of art by local Buckinghamshire artists.
Some of the artists at the event are from Chesham, including Helen Boden, Bernie Grist, Karen Martin, Diana Strathon and Simon Brewster, Jan Munro and Susan Gray.
All the work on display will be for sale and can be taken away, “off the wall” on the day.
Prices start at £30 and profits support the work of the museum.
The range of work on view is superb with paintings, photographs and prints mixed in with ceramics, textiles and sculptures.
The launch will be on Saturday, November 14 from midday to 2pm with many of the artists present.
Also on Saturday, November 28 visitors will be able to meet some of the artists who will be in the gallery to demonstrate their work:
