Fo­cus on women em­broiled in con­flict

A MU­SI­CIAN and poet will per­form the show, Woman in War: in their own words.

Paula Tait will per­form her show at the Amer­sham Quaker Meet­ing House, Whielden Street on Sun­day, Novem­ber 15.

In the course of the per­for­mance, Ms Tait will play the harp, gui­tar, Fin­nish kan­tele, Viet­namese gong and other in­stru­ments.

The words come from women em­broiled in 20th and 21st cen­tury con­flicts in Viet­nam, Nicaragua, Liberia and Europe, as well as oth­ers.

It will fo­cus on how women are af­fected by war, bring­ing to life the po­etry and sto­ries of those caught up in con­flicts and vi­o­lence. The per­for­mance will be held at 2.30pm un­til 3.45pm and will be fol­lowed by tea and cake.

It is free ad­mis­sion, costs to be met by do­na­tions.
