SIX-YEAR-OLD Lotta Ross waltzed her way into a na­tional danc­ing com­pe­ti­tion in Black­pool over half term.

The Year Two pupil at Gay­hurst School in Ger­rards Cross, was one of the youngest com­peti­tors in the six to eight age group at the Na­tional Medal­list of the Year Clas­si­cal Se­quence Fi­nal.

Held at the fa­mous Win­ter Gar­dens Em­press Ball­room, Lotta qual­i­fied in June af­ter tak­ing part in the re­gional heat.

Mum Camilla, who is also a Year One teacher at Gay­hurst, said: “Lotta danced in two rounds and per­formed four dances; the waltz, two step, tango and rumba.

“Af­ter learn­ing so many dance steps, she was thrilled to take part in this Na­tional com­pe­ti­tion at such an amaz­ing venue.”
