Road col­li­sion deaths ser­vice

PEO­PLE who have lost fam­ily mem­bers and friends in road col­li­sions in Thames Val­ley will com­mem­o­rate their lives at a spe­cial ser­vice this week­end.

Thames Val­ley Po­lice has or­gan­ised the ser­vice to take place on Sun­day, Novem­ber 15 at St Mary the Vir­gin Church, in Thame, at 3pm.

Po­lice of­fi­cers, fire and res­cue work­ers and am­bu­lance tech­ni­cians will give read­ings and prayers dur­ing the ser­vice.

Fam­ily mem­bers will be in­vited to take part in an Act of Com­mem­o­ra­tion, which will be led by The Bishop of Dorch­ester, The Right Rev­erend Colin Fletcher.

Chief Con­sta­ble Fran­cis Hab­good said: “The Road Death Me­mo­rial Ser­vice pro­vides great com­fort for those fam­ily and friends who have lost loved ones in road traf­fic col­li­sions and it is a very poignant event.
