MP to give advice over compensation

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - HS2 -

CHERYL Gillan, MP for Chesham and Amersham, is encouraging people to get in touch with her if they have been affected by changes to the compensation scheme for HS2.

Because of planned changes to the route, which include extended tunnelling to the north west of South Heat, there are about 140 properties affected by subsequent changes to the compensation schemes.

The route change, called Additional Provision Four, is currently being consulted on, and Mrs Gillan has recently received a letter from Department for Transport on the subject.

She said: “I have been informed that the changes in AP4 will affect the property schemes to some residents, and I encourage anyone who thinks they may be impacted by this change to read this letter on my website, and contact either me or HS2 Ltd if they have any queries.

“As I have previously said, I hope that the compensation scheme will be fair and generous to my constituents. They have been living with the burden of this project for nearly six years now.”
