Fan­fare for band's Christ­mas con­cert

AMER­SHAM Band will be hold­ing its Christ­mas con­cert on Sun­day, De­cem­ber 13.

The au­di­ence will be able to join in with carol singing and the con­cert will also fea­ture Amer­sham Com­mu­nity Brass and the band's new Brass Roots group, whose mem­bers will be giv­ing their first pub­lic per­for­mance.

Band chair­man Fred Har­ri­son said: “The con­cert has a great fam­ily feel with all of our bands join­ing in and we in­vite all our friends and supporters to come and enjoy a pro­gramme of Christ­mas mu­sic.

“Brass Roots has been a huge suc­cess since the launch in Septem­ber with more than 20 peo­ple join­ing and they have made bril­liant progress.

Af­ter the con­cert the band will serve mince pies, tea, cof­fee and soft drinks. The con­cert will be held at Amer­sham Free Church on De­cem­ber 13 at 3pm.

Tick­ets will be sold on the door at £5.

Fes­tive con­cert: The Amer­sham Band plays Me­mo­rial Gar­dens, in Old Amer­sham, on Re­mem­brance Sun­day.
