One of your favourite things

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - ON STAGE -

ONE of the greatest musicals of all time will be coming to the Wycombe Swan early in 2016.

A new production of the Sound of Music is set to enchant and enthral the young and the young at heart.

Based on Baroness Maria von Trapp’s 1949 autobiography, this wonderfully lavish new staging of The Sound Of Music tells the true story of the world famous singing family, from their romantic beginnings and search for happiness, to their thrilling escape to freedom as their beloved Austria becomes part of the Third Reich at the start of the Second World War.

The stage production is based on the much loved 1965 Oscar winning film starring Julie Andrews and includes some of the world’s most memorable songs.

These include Edelweiss, My Favourite Things, Do-Re-Mi, Climb Ev’ry Mountain, So Long, Farewell and of course, the title song, The Sound of Music.

The show will be at the Wycombe Swan from Tuesday, February 9 until Saturday, February 13. Tickets to the production are priced between £19 and £39 and the box office is open now.
