VOLUNTEERS helped Gold Hill Baptist Church send a record number of shoeboxes filled with goodies to needy children this year.

The mammoth effort was part of operation Christmas Child – the world’s largest children’s Christmas project – for youngsters around the world. The church in Chalfont St Peter collects and sends shoeboxes each year. This year a record breaking 812 shoeboxes were collected and the church has thanked people for their generosity and hard work in wrapping and filling the boxes with toys, accessories and sweets.
