Town shines brightly in festive showcase
Entertainment and street market puts Amersham on Christmas map
The event, organised by the Amersham Action Group, took place on Saturday in Amersham-onthe-Hill. It is designed to showcase the retailers and businesses in the town, as well as community organisations, and also to provide a platform for the area’s bands and performers.
The day included music, family entertainment, a street market and the switching on of the Christmas lights. It also coincided with Small Business Saturday, so played host to a number of stands from the community’s organisations and traders.
The event was sponsored by developer Countryside, which recently opened a new development in nearby Little Chalfont.
Andrew Loveday, sales director for Countryside, said: “We were very excited to be teaming up with the Amersham Action Group, which does such a great job of organising events throughout the year.
“It has been a pleasure working with them and we are pleased to hear of the great success from Saturday’s event.”
