Festive delights pull in the crowds
PEOPLE went Christmas shopping at a church fair.
St John’s Church in Ashley Green held its Advent Fair at the Memorial Hall in Two Dells Lane on November 29.
There were stalls selling items including nearly new, Chrismtas gifts, brica-brac, books and children’s toys. Other attractions included a tombola, raffle, cakes and homemade jams.
One of the organisers, Rodney Newth, said: “The fair was a great success with a higher attendance than last year and the money raised for St John’s Church was a very satisfactory £732.
“The Hospice of St Francis will also benefit as much of the unsold items will be offered to their charity shops in Berkhamsted.”
