IN TRAINING TO BE MARY AND JOSEPH

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - FRONT PAGE -

GAYHURST schoolchildren enlisted their very own Mary and Joseph to help start their Christmas celebrations.

The nursery performed their first nativity and the junior department took part in two versions of the Christmas story.

Junior school youngsters performed A Little Bird Told Me along with A Christmas Miracle, to the delight of their parents.

The Christingle service was a time for the children to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas with their Christingle candles.

Children also wore Christmas jumpers to school, enjoyed their Christmas lunch and on Tuesday sang carols at St James Church in Gerrards Cross.

Mrs Terrar, head of Gayhurst Junior School, said: “Christmas is such a special time and the children really enjoy performing, celebrating, singing and reflecting at this time of year.”
