Solic­i­tors im­pressed by school­child­ren’s fes­tive card creations

Le­gal ea­gles hand out prizes dur­ing an­nual Christ­mas com­pe­ti­tion

They pre­sented awards to the win­ners of this year’s an­nual Christ­mas card com­pe­ti­tion.

Com­pe­ti­tion bosses had 181 en­tries, from Thorpe House School, Malt­man’s Green School, St Mary’s School and Ger­rards Cross CofE School, to chose from.

Part­ner Si­mon Dodd pre­sented awards to the win­ning girls from St Mary’s Prep School.

Young­ster Poppy won the over­all com­pe­ti­tion to turn on the lights at the Christ­mas fes­ti­val. Her card was made into the firm’s Christ­mas card. The other win­ners were Diya, Mahima and Ava.

On col­lect­ing his prize, over­all win­ner Thomas Broom, at Ger­rards Cross CofE School, said: “I never win any­thing. I have en­tered this ev­ery year and now I have won.”

At Malt­man’s Green, David Jor­dan, part­ner, pre­sented the prizes to the win­ning girls.

First prize was won by Jessie Frost, whose de­sign was made into a large can­vas.

Trixie Ford and Hol­lie Pow­ers, run­ners up, re­ceived book vouch­ers.

Thorpe House win­ning de­signs were an­nounced dur­ing the school awards and achieve­ment as­sem­bly, with the win­ners pre­sented with a cer­tifi­cate by part­ner Tom Lacey.

Os­car Cut­ler won first prize and Henry Busse and Rocco Fat­touki fin­ished as run­ners up.

Clare Weston, mar­ket­ing man­ager at Nunn Hay­ward said: “All the chil­dren that we pre­sented awards to were over the moon that their de­signs had won. This year we had so many fan­tas­tic en­tries, it was so dif­fi­cult for us to judge.”
