Carol service boost for the vulnerable

Children help raise £500 with a concert at parish church

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

“The cards have proved very popular as so many residents have a deep, personal connection with the church.

"I know that one of our first card sales winged its way to New Zealand to the daughter of a village resident who was married in the church many years ago. We were disappointed not to have the carol singing outside in the churchyard this year, especially considering the warm weather we have been having.

"We have to be extra cautious though because of the risk of damaging the wind band’s instruments and the smallest spots of rain force us indoors. Hopefully, we will have a drier evening next year and we can slip back outdoors again. There is something magical about singing outdoors in a wintery evening.”

Contact parish council clerk Debbie Evans on 01753 891 582 to snap up the last remaining cards.
