Get 2016 off to a green start be recycling trees

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

PEOPLE in South Bucks are being encouraged to get 2016 off to a green start by recycling their Christmas tree and preventing it going to landfill.

If your Christmas has roots, it can be replanted in a pot or in the garden to be re-used next year.

Alternatively, South Bucks District Council says that it can be cut down in order to fit into a green garden waste collection bin, as long as the lid of the bin can still close.

People can also take their tree along to one of the Household Waste Recycling sites, which are in Beaconsfield, Langley and Burnham.

There is also a site at Stoke Poges Memorial Gardens, in Church Lane, where trees can be disposed of until January 14 from 9.30am until 4.30pm.

Every tree collected will be turned into compost free of charge.

If you have any questions, call the council on 01895 837 333 or email recycling@southbucks.gov. uk.
