Have your say on review of therapy services

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

PARENTS and carers of children who use specialist therapies in Bucks will get a chance to have a say on how the services are run.

The NHS and Buckinghamshire County Council commissioners are reviewing children’s therapy services including speech and language, physiotherapy and occupational therapy; as contracts are shortly due to expire.

They want to know what people think about the current services so that they can make sure the new services are designed to be the best they can be.

A statement from Bucks County Council’s cabinet member for education and skills Councillor Zahir Mohammed and the council’s cabinet member for children’s services Lin Hazell said: “We want to make sure as many parents and carers as possible have the opportunity to give us their views, so that we can take these into account in the design of the new services to make sure that they meet the needs of children and families”.

NHS Chiltern Clinical Commissioning Group’s clinical commissioning director for maternity, newborns and children Dr Dal Sahota said: “This is a great opportunity for people to have their say about how front line services are run.”

The survey is open until January 31 at www.letstalk healthbucks.nhs.uk or on the website www.bucks familyinfo.org.
