Ten years at school

A TEACHER cel­e­brated 10 years as deputy prin­ci­pal of Chal­font St Peter Montes­sori School re­cently.

Chil­dren and staff helped Deb­bie Lo­max cel­e­brate the an­niver­sary with a cake which came com­plete with 10 can­dles. Deb­bie, who lives in Farn­ham Com­mon, joined the school in Jan­uary 2005 af­ter mov­ing with her fam­ily from Bel­gium. She gained her Montes­sori teach­ing diploma in Dublin and then went on to work in Brus­sels at an In­ter­na­tional Montes­sori School.

She said: “I’ve had lots of fun cel­e­brat­ing with the chil­dren this week, and re­flect­ing on the changes I have wit­nessed to the school dur­ing my 10 years as deputy prin­ci­pal.

“The school has grown in num­bers steadily over the years, and we have many more staff now too.

I have en­joyed be­ing part of each child’s jour­ney, as they grow, de­velop and turn into con­fi­dent, self­as­sured chil­dren – many of whom are now at se­nior school, which makes me
