Winter is finally here and it’s oh so pretty out there!
WINTER has finally arrived but the cold snap has not deterred our readers from getting out and about with their cameras.
While December was unseasonably warm and confused some plants into thinking it was spring, January has brought a drop in temperature and even a smattering of snow at the weekend.
Toby Pickard, a student at Dr Challoner’s Grammar School who lives in Chalfont St Peter, was up with the lark on Sunday to capture the beauty of winter in Chalfont St Giles.
He said: “It was worth getting up early for, despite the freezing snow.” And he wasn’t the only one.
Mark Lewis sent us photographs from a quick tour around the Chalfonts and Latimer, with a lovely image of a thistle covered in Amersham snow for good measure.
Make the most of the cold snap, the forecast for the end of the week is that temperatures will be on the rise again. If you have some great pictures from the area to share with us, email them to tmsnewseditor@trinity mirror.com.
