Pub wins Lions award again

A VIL­LAGE pub has won an award for the sev­enth year in a row af­ter rais­ing hun­dreds of pounds for char­ity.

Each Christ­mas, the Amer­sham and Che­sham Lions Club op­er­ates a char­ity pub raf­fle and presents a shield to the pub that raises the most.

The Swan Inn in Ley Hill won af­ter their gen­er­ous pun­ters helped raise £200.

It is the sev­enth con­sec­u­tive year that The Swan has won the tro­phy.

The pub has also won the Easter raf­fle prize six times out of the last 10 years.

Eleven pubs took part in the Christ­mas raf­fle and raised a to­tal of £873, which will go to Lions Club char­i­ties.
