Pub wins Lions award again
A VILLAGE pub has won an award for the seventh year in a row after raising hundreds of pounds for charity.
Each Christmas, the Amersham and Chesham Lions Club operates a charity pub raffle and presents a shield to the pub that raises the most.
The Swan Inn in Ley Hill won after their generous punters helped raise £200.
It is the seventh consecutive year that The Swan has won the trophy.
The pub has also won the Easter raffle prize six times out of the last 10 years.
Eleven pubs took part in the Christmas raffle and raised a total of £873, which will go to Lions Club charities.
Well done: President of the Amersham and Chesham Lions Club Mike Boxshall presented the award to Sam and Nigel Byatt of The Swan Inn
