Coun­cil­lor re­signs from cab­i­net role

A COUN­CIL­LOR has re­signed from his cab­i­net role on South Bucks District Coun­cil (SBDC) with im­me­di­ate ef­fect.

David An­thony has stepped down as re­sources port­fo­lio holder due to per­sonal rea­sons. He will how­ever re­main as a mem­ber of SBDC rep­re­sent­ing the Farn­ham and Hedger­ley ward.

Leader of the coun­cil, Ralph Bagge, said: “I’d like to thank David for his con­tri­bu­tion in par­tic­u­lar for ex­plor­ing more at­trac­tive in­vest­ment op­tions our cash

for bal­ances, im­prov­ing anal­y­sis and re­port­ing of our golf and leisure ac­tiv­ity and for his strong fo­cus on the coun­cil’s bal­ance sheet and re­serves.”

Trevor Egle­ton will take over the re­sources port­fo­lio and Paul Kelly, cur­rent vice-chair­man, will step down from this role and join the cab­i­net tak­ing the healthy com­mu­ni­ties port­fo­lio.

The elec­tion of a new vice-chair­man will take place at the next full coun­cil meet­ing on Fe­bru­ary 23.
