Councillor resigns from cabinet role
A COUNCILLOR has resigned from his cabinet role on South Bucks District Council (SBDC) with immediate effect.
David Anthony has stepped down as resources portfolio holder due to personal reasons. He will however remain as a member of SBDC representing the Farnham and Hedgerley ward.
Leader of the council, Ralph Bagge, said: “I’d like to thank David for his contribution in particular for exploring more attractive investment options our cash
for balances, improving analysis and reporting of our golf and leisure activity and for his strong focus on the council’s balance sheet and reserves.”
Trevor Egleton will take over the resources portfolio and Paul Kelly, current vice-chairman, will step down from this role and join the cabinet taking the healthy communities portfolio.
The election of a new vice-chairman will take place at the next full council meeting on February 23.
