Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - SCHOOLS NEWS -

SOME young clever-clogs aced the regional heat of a national general knowledge competition.

A squad of Chesham Prep School pupils went to Davenies School in Beaconsfield for the regional heats of the National General Knowledge Key Stage 2 Quiz Club on January 28.

Competing against 10 other teams, the school’s two teams of four pupils, one pupil from each year group three, four, five and six, did remarkably well.

One team finished sixth out of 12, while the other team won.

All pupils received certificates and each winning team member won a Quiz Club badge and trophy for the school as well.

This team will go forward to represent Chesham Prep School in the national semi-finals later this term.

The school’s two teams had been chosen based on general knowledge heats held at Chesham Prep School at the start of term. The pupils chosen to compete in the competition were Year Three pupils Fionn Clare and Amelie Field, Year Four pupils, Sophie Barnard and George Killigrew, Year Five pupils Callum Field and Charlie Mills and year six pupils Freddie Bateson and Jack Heginbottom.
