Adding Colour to this year’s Pen­nFest show

Ocean Colour Scene to head­line week­end

OCEAN Colour Scene have been an­nounced as the head­lin­ers at Pen­nFest on Fri­day July 22.

The hugely pop­u­lar band is cur­rently on a roll hav­ing just sold out their gigs an­nounced in Leeds and Birm­ing­ham.

They are cel­e­brat­ing the 20th an­niver­sary of their hit al­bum Moseley Shoals, which they will be play­ing in full, in­clud­ing hits The Day We Caught The Train and Riverboat Song.

Fol­low­ing a hugely suc­cess­ful event last sum­mer, Penn Street is once again set to be home to a two-day fam­ily friendly mu­sic fes­ti­val with camp­ing, as Pen­nFest (for­merly known as Penn Fes­ti­val) re­turns on the week­end of July 22-23.

Now in its sixth year, Pen­nFest’s lineup prom­ises to mas­sive with big­ger names than ever be­fore per­form­ing through­out the week­end.

Other con­firmed acts are Dizzee Ras­cal, De La Soul, Riz­zle Kicks, Fun Lovin’ Crim­i­nals, The Light­ning Seeds, Ash, Shed Seven, Soul II Soul, Reef, Ms Dy­na­mite, Black Grape, To­ploader and Chas and Dave plus DJ sets from Art­ful Dodger, DJ Luck & McNeat, Fabio & Grooverider.

The Big Top stage will re­turn for 2016, fea­tur­ing well-known DJs to con­tinue the party once the bands have come off stage plus the re­turn of the Old Skool Ware­house.

In ad­di­tion to the main stage acts, there will also be a di­verse se­lec­tion of pop­u­lar lo­cal bands per­form­ing.

Camp­ing will be avail­able on site from Fri­day July 22 to Sun­day July 24, of­fer­ing the per­fect op­por­tu­nity to en­joy the beau­ti­ful sur­round­ings of the Chilterns, with free hot show­ers in the camp­ing area as well as a qui­eter fam­ily camp­ing zone
