AWARD-WINNING Chalfont St Peter yogurt makers Tims Dairy has been shortlisted in the 2016 Family Business of the Year awards.

Tims Dairy was founded in 1949 by the current owners’ uncle, who was quickly joined by their father, and it has remained family owned ever since.

Managing director Chris Timotheou said: “Our family and heritage have always been crucially important to us.

“We love the fact that these awards honour the role of family in business. All four brothers are in the office early every day and are very much hands-on in the running of the business.”

Operations director Peter Timotheou said: “We would be thrilled to win.

“If you have enjoyed our yogurts we do invite you please to vote for us online in the London and southeast category.”

The Family Business of the Year Awards are organised by Family Business United, a magazine and resource centre that champions and celebrates the family business sector.

The awards recognise the diversity, strength and depth of family firms across the UK and seek to highlight the contribution that family firms make to the UK economy.
