Winning entries picture perfect
BUCKS County Museum and the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) have announced the winners of a competition run in conjunction with the current exhibition Photography! at the museum.
Winners were presented with their prizes at Bucks County Museum on Saturday February 13 by BIPP chief executive Chris Harper and BIPP director and leading portrait photographer Bella West.
The over-16s category was won by Ian Moss of Aylesbury, with Nick Steadman from Preston Bissett and Anna Ready from Eynsham receiving merit awards.
The 16 and under category was won by Amy Price, 15, from Princes Risborough, and merit awards were given to Joe Longdin, 13, from Quainton, Charlotte Wood, 15, from Faringdon, and Joanne Walker, 15, from Princes Risborough.
The winners received a £50 Amazon voucher and special certificates donated by BIPP.
Winner Ian Moss, who runs the Princes Risborough School photography club, said he encourages his students to create photographs as works of art rather than just take pictures.
His talented students picked up both winning entry and two merit awards with their inspiring images.
The winning entries can be seen at the Photography! exhibition until Saturday March 5.
