Dozens learn about im­pact of Lo­cal Plan on their lives

New houses ear­marked for the town are dis­cussed with coun­cil­lors an­swer­ing ques­tions

“Roads, traf­fic and pol­lu­tion raised the most con­cern.

“There was also a lot of dis­cus­sion about preser­va­tion of the green belt. Large ar­eas of new hous­ing were a ma­jor con­cern and even build­ing along the perime­ter was a con­cern. In­fill and use of brown­field sites was much pre­ferred. Sim­ple in­struc­tions will be given about how to re­spond to the plan, ei­ther on­line or by post, to en­sure your views are taken note of.”

An­other meet­ing on the Lo­cal Plan was jointly or­gan­ised by the Che­sham So­ci­ety and Che­sham Town Coun­cil and took place at Che­sham Town Hall on Thurs­day Fe­bru­ary 25. The con­sul­ta­tion runs un­til 5pm on Mon­day March 14.
