Isabel seeing double training with inspirational GB sisters

Young gymnast enjoys ‘fantastic experience’

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - SPORT -

Isabel was first inspired to take up gymnastics at school by former British champion, and Commonwealth Games and World Championships gymnast Laura Timmins, who was formerly head of gymnastics at Maltmans.

Cairine Cranfield-Thomson, who took over from Timmins at Maltman’s, has carried on that good work and the enormous amount of time and effort she puts in with the girls is certainly paying off.

Maltman’s have been national schools’ champions at U9, U10 and U11 level and Isabel is a member of the U11A squad, along with Claudia Mowat, Grace Short, Tara Sadlier and Olivia Rowan.

The school has also qualified for the finals of the Independent Schools Gymnastics Association, at Kent College, and the Milano Competition (national schools floor and vault) at the national training facility, in Stokeon-Trent.
