Pupil Sydney makes top card

A TAL­ENTED young artist won a colour­ing com­pe­ti­tion or­gan­ised by a lo­cal busi­ness.

The Frost Part­ner­ship, in Ger­main Street, Che­sham, ran a Christ­mas card colour­ing com­pe­ti­tion at the end of last year for all of the ju­nior schools in and around Che­sham for chil­dren up to the age of 11.

They had to de­sign their o own Christ­mas card and re­turn their en­tries to the branch.

Some 47 en­tries were re­ceived in to­tal and Che­sham’s Rain­bow Big Bot­tom judged the com­pe­ti­tion.

The win­ner was Sydney Claasen, eight, from Thomas Hard­ing School.

She was pre­sented with her prize by Rain­bow Big Bot­tom on Fri­day March 4.

Rain­bow also car­ried out a 10 minute pri­vate show for Sydney and her class­mates, which they thor­oughly en­joyed.

The Frost Part­ner­ship opened in June last year and ran the com­pe­ti­tion as it is try­ing to en­cour­age lo­cal chil­dren with lots of ac­tiv­i­ties and as­sis­tance with their ed­u­ca­tion and sup­port­ing them wher­ever it can.
