STUDENTS from the Little Language Academy were invited to enjoy a meal at Café Rouge in Gerrards Cross.
They ordered their chosen meals in French and enjoyed a tasting session of escargots, which got a resounding ‘oui’ from those brave enough to try them.
The children described what they liked or did not like about their dinner – all in French, of course.
Debbie Lomax, owner of the academy, said: “Café Rouge invited some of our students to sample their children’s menu, and we held two of our weekly classes in the restaurant.
“It’s so important for the children to get the opportunity to practise their French outside of the classroom.”
Cafe Rouge general manager Stephen Condon said: “We were very pleased to welcome the Little Language Academy pupils into the restaurant. Native Frenchman and Head Chef Pierre Argentin was particularly looking forward to getting their valuable feedback on the escargots, en Français, of course.”
