Pupils beat ob­sta­cles to Stay Ac­tive

THE chil­dren and staff of Lit­tle Mis­senden CofE In­fant School took part in a chal­lenge to raise money for Sport Re­lief on Fri­day.

The school’s Get Ac­tive coach Gary Sher­wood or­gan­ised an ob­sta­cle course and chal­lenged the chil­dren to ‘Stay Ac­tive with Get Ac­tive’.

The chil­dren and staff were spon­sored to stay ac­tive for 30 min­utes non­stop and see how many laps of the course they could com­plete.

All chil­dren man­aged to stay ac­tive for the whole 30 min­utes.

The re­cep­tion class com­pleted 21 laps, the year one class 24 laps and the year two class 30 laps.

Mr Sher­wood said: “It was great to see all the chil­dren and staff in­volved and stay­ing ac­tive for the full 30 min­utes.

“They did re­ally well and were very en­thu­si­as­tic. I think they could have con­tin­ued for longer.”
