Chil­dren get fit to boost Sport

CHIL­DREN took part in a host of sport­ing ac­tiv­i­ties last week to help raise money for char­ity.

Char­tridge School, in Cogdells Lane, Char­tridge, held its Fit4Life week last week, with money raised go­ing to Sport Re­lief.

Through­out the week the chil­dren had the chance to ex­pe­ri­ence a va­ri­ety of new sports and ac­tiv­i­ties such as street dance, hockey, archery and skip­ping.

The school also had cir­cuit train­ing with Rion Pierre, the Team GB ath­lete.

On Fri­day, there was a whole school Cy­cle to Char­tridge event, with pupils meet­ing in Berke­ley Av­enue and cy­cling the one mile to school.

The whole school also went on a spon­sored walk dur­ing the week.
