Malt­man’s col­lect triple gold to qual­ify for na­tion­als

THERE was a hat-trick of gold medals for Malt­man’s Green School at the South­ern Re­gion Sports Acro and Tum­bling com­pe­ti­tion.

Both the Year Six A and B squads from the Chal­font St Peter-based school made the long jour­ney down to Southamp­ton Gym­nas­tics Cen­tre for the tour­na­ment.

Rep­re­sent­ing them in n the tum­bling were Taraa Sadleir and Is­abell Whit­burn, both aged 10, and af­ter three dy­namic tum­bles each, Sadlier claimed first place.

This qual­i­fied her for the na­tional fi­nals in Stoke-on-Trent in May, while Whit­burn was a close se­cond place, only 0.4 points be­hind her win­ning team­mate.

Up next was the U11 pairs com­pe­ti­tion, with 23 en­tries from schools through­out the re­gion, and all five Malt­man’s pairs per­formed their rout rou­tines with con con­fi­dence and fi­nesse.

B But it was Olivia Row Rowan and Am­ber Wh White­fo­ord, also both age aged 10, who stood out to take the gold, and the they too qual­ify for the na na­tional fi­nals.
