Maltman’s collect triple gold to qualify for nationals
THERE was a hat-trick of gold medals for Maltman’s Green School at the Southern Region Sports Acro and Tumbling competition.
Both the Year Six A and B squads from the Chalfont St Peter-based school made the long journey down to Southampton Gymnastics Centre for the tournament.
Representing them in n the tumbling were Taraa Sadleir and Isabell Whitburn, both aged 10, and after three dynamic tumbles each, Sadlier claimed first place.
This qualified her for the national finals in Stoke-on-Trent in May, while Whitburn was a close second place, only 0.4 points behind her winning teammate.
Up next was the U11 pairs competition, with 23 entries from schools throughout the region, and all five Maltman’s pairs performed their rout routines with con confidence and finesse.
B But it was Olivia Row Rowan and Amber Wh Whitefoord, also both age aged 10, who stood out to take the gold, and the they too qualify for the na national finals.
