NO REASON FOR PEOPLE NOT TO BE INFORMED
Chalfont St Peter Parish councillor THE first stage of the Local Plan consultation ended last week, and I am hoping that a great many of us braved the documentation to submit responses to Chiltern District Council.
I am frustrated though with anybody still saying they knew nothing about the consultation–how is that possible?
SENSE volunteers posted leaflets through every door in the village.
It has been all over newspapers, and shared on the Chalfont St Peter Forum, and on Streetlife.
The Local Plan document, the public meeting details, and suggestions to aid answering were posted repeatedly on Facebook and Twitter, and on the websites of both the parish council and SESE4CSP.
It has been on noticeboards, on local schools’ newsletters, and advertised in the library and Community Centre.
Social media stats show that the topic was viewed 15,000 times over the last month alone–it has been a comprehensively covered campaign, and I am at a loss as to how we as volunteers could still be expected to have done more.
