A GROUP of young artists recently went on an inspiring school trip to Amsterdam.

A recent trip to Amsterdam for Chesham Grammar School’s year 11 artists proved to be suitably inspiring for the next generation of creative thinkers.

The itinerary not only involved the major collections like the Rijksmuseum but also contemporary film and photography work.

A tram pass provided the means to explore this cultural capital and evening entertainments included fancy dress bowling with costumes inspired by the letter R.

Here Rembrandt was spotted competing with rhinos, rappers and Rubik’s cubes in an evening full of drama.

Molly Lagan, a student on the visit, said: “I had a great time, particularly at the cheese and clog farm on the return journey!”
