Dukes Wood show off ace new coaches

GER­RARDS Cross-based Dukes Wood Ten­nis Club will be show­cas­ing its new fa­cil­i­ties and ex­panded coach­ing staff at an open day later this month.

The club has re­cently in­stalled ad­di­tional flood­light­ing and head coach, Tom Dean, has taken the op­por­tu­nity to hand-pick two new coaches for the club, en­abling it to ex­pand its coach­ing pro­gramme.

The two fully qual­i­fied coaches wel­comed to its fold are Hal­lam No­den and Alex Smil­lie.

Mr No­den

is an LTA Level 3 coach who brings with him nine years coach­ing ex­pe­ri­ence and has pre­vi­ously trained young play­ers up to top ten tier at both county and na­tional level. Mr Smil­lie has just com­pleted a de­gree in coach­ing and sport science while work­ing to­wards his LTA Level 3 coach­ing qual­i­fi­ca­tion. Coach­ing for the past four years, he has trained many overseas play­ers at na­tional level in­clud­ing train­ing the Cypriot U18 num­ber two.

The duo join ex­ist­ing coach, LTA level three Ro­man Ce­ber, who has been at Dukes Wood for the past two years.
