100% suc­cess for school’s Young En­ter­prise team

YOUNG en­ter­prise com­pany Te­los won three awards at the Chiltern Area Fi­nals of the Young En­ter­prise Com­pe­ti­tion, held at the Bea­cons­field School on March 20.

The com­pany, made up of boys and girls aged 1617 from Bucks, won best so­cial me­dia, best trade stand and fin­ished run­ners up for best com­pany. The team wrote the The 100% Book, an ad­vice book for teenagers, and dur­ing the day had to pro­mote the com­pany and prod­uct to a panel of judges.

In at­ten­dance was Mimi Harker, chair­man of Chiltern Dis­trict Coun­cil, who of­fered to help Te­los hold an of­fi­cial book launch in the fu­ture.

Pre­sen­ta­tions were held in the af­ter­noon and guest speaker Ian Rowe gave a speech based on his anec­dotes about his at­tempt to break the world record for row­ing the At­lantic in 30 days.

Te­los will be ad­vanc­ing to the next stages of the Young En­ter­prise Com­pe­ti­tion, in Ayles­bury on May 6.

The com­pany wishes to thank all the judges, the Chiltern Board of Young En­ter­prise, their busi­ness ad­vi­sors and Jazz, Linda and Jess who guided them through the process and helped their suc­cess.
