A spring in the step for art group’s annual exhibition
A SPRING exhibition by an Amersham art group attracted more than 305 people and was hailed as one of the most succesful events yet.
Hosted at the Chalfont St Peter Community Centre in Gravel Hill on Saturday April 9 and Sunday April 10, the Beechwood Artists also raised money for The Sycamore Club, Amersham.
Chairman Keith Platt said: “It went very well indeed. We had a pretty succesful exhibition.”
He said the support from local people was appreciated, and added: “All in all it was succesful. We were very lucky with the weather.
“I think it was one of our more succesful ones.”
Beechwood Artists had around 100 members, and in addition to paintings in a range of media and styles, hand painted silk scarves, crafts and cards were also available to buy.
10% of all sales were donated to the charity.
