Prolific Pioneer pick up more silverware
RAMPANT Pioneer landed their second cup in as many weeks when they beat FC D&B 3-1 in the Chesham Charity Cup final on Sunday.
Goals from JP Jamil, Andy Winton plus an own goal ensured more silverware following last week’s Chesham Sunday League Cup win, with the Premier Division title still to play for too.
Over in the Allan Moore Cup, four goals from George King, plus further strikes from Neil Hyrons and Dale Lee, saw Old Belmont Pugilists booked a semi-final spot with a 6-0 win at Misty Moon.
Magpies 91 Reserves were also hit for six by Chalfont Saints, who bounced back from their League Cup final defeat to make the Allan Moore semis thanks to Dave Sheppard’s double and other goals from Lewis Cumber, Connor Cumber, Frank Turner and Nick Marchant, while Marcus Furneaux- Harris and Dean Franklin replied for Mags.
But the Magpies’ first team are through after knocking out Dinamo Chequers 5-0, Miles Baxter bagging a brace while Rhys Blaken, Chris Percy and Craig Dias also netted.
