CHILDREN will now have a safer journey to work thanks to the school’s driveway being resurfaced.
Chartridge School, in Cogdells Lane, Chartridge, had its driveway resurfaced over Easter. This has been an ongoing project and has involved much dialogue with Bucks County Council over whose responsibility it was. At last, after support from Chartridge Parish Council and Councillor Patricia Birchley, Transport for Bucks funded the resurfacing of the school’s new drive.
Headteacher Steve Butler said: “We’re delighted with the result and it will certainly be safer for those children who cycle as our drive had been covered in pot holes.”
