PRES­I­DENT TO HOST HIS LAST SUP­PER MEET­ING

MEN’S sup­per group, the Oak­end Way­far­ers, are hold­ing their last meet­ing un­der the pres­i­dency of Ken Walker on Wed­nes­day April 27.

Founder of The En­ter­tainer toy shop, Gary Grant, will be speak­ing about ‘Faith in Busi­ness’, at 8pm at the Methodist Church Hall in Gerrards Cross.

Mr Walker, who is com­ing to the end of his fourth pres­i­dency, said he is look­ing for­ward to hear­ing Mr Grant speak.

The group have had some no­table speak­ers over the years, in­clud­ing MP Tony Benn and fa­mous Ir­ish crooner Val Doon­i­can.

Mr Walker has been pres­i­dent since Septem­ber, and the group usu­ally get around 40 peo­ple to th­ese meet­ings.

Mr Grant founded The En­ter­tainer toy shop in 1981 when he and his wife opened a lo­cal toy shop in Amer­sham.

The En­ter­tainer is now UK’s big­gest in­de­pen­dent toy re­tailer.

Meet at 7.45pm. There is a £9 con­tri­bu­tion to­wards the cost of the meal and ex­penses.
