PRESIDENT TO HOST HIS LAST SUPPER MEETING
MEN’S supper group, the Oakend Wayfarers, are holding their last meeting under the presidency of Ken Walker on Wednesday April 27.
Founder of The Entertainer toy shop, Gary Grant, will be speaking about ‘Faith in Business’, at 8pm at the Methodist Church Hall in Gerrards Cross.
Mr Walker, who is coming to the end of his fourth presidency, said he is looking forward to hearing Mr Grant speak.
The group have had some notable speakers over the years, including MP Tony Benn and famous Irish crooner Val Doonican.
Mr Walker has been president since September, and the group usually get around 40 people to these meetings.
Mr Grant founded The Entertainer toy shop in 1981 when he and his wife opened a local toy shop in Amersham.
The Entertainer is now UK’s biggest independent toy retailer.
Meet at 7.45pm. There is a £9 contribution towards the cost of the meal and expenses.
