The princes get up-close and personal on set with Star Wars stars at Pinewood studios
PRINCES William and Harry were taught the ways of the Force when they went along to Pinewood Studios for a tour of the set of the next Star Wars blockbuster.
The pair visited the famous site in Iver Heath as a way of highlighting the British creative talent involved in making the Star Wars films.
The next instalment of the mega popular franchise is being shot at the studios, with Episode VIII currently being filmed there.
Last year’s The Force Awakens was filmed at the studios and has gone on to become one of the biggest blockbusters of all time.
British star Daisy Ridley, who plays Rey in the films, helped give the royals a tour, where they also met stars including Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker, and Chewbacca. The pair also got the chance to look at props from the films and to play with model lightsabers.
Earlier in the day, Hamill tweeted: “Meeting #Royals William & Harry! Finally – a chance to get an informed answer on whether being Leia’s brother makes me a Prince.”
