Putting her heart into run

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - MARATHON NEWS -

A WOMAN from Beaconsfield is set to take on the challenge of a lifetime when she runs the London Marathon.

Rachel Brownhill has spent months in preparation for the event, which takes place on Sunday and is aiming to raise money for charity as part of her run.

Rachel is hoping to raise cash for the Brompton Foundation after her friend’s three-year-old daughter Chloe, who has undergone three rounds of open heart surgery at the Royal Brompton Hospital.

She said: “With each operation Chloe’s speedy recovery has surpassed surgeon’s expectations and her incredible strength and determination along the way has been an absolute inspiration, she’s a true superhero.

“For those that know Chloe’s mum, Steph, this will come as no surprise. Like mother, like daughter. She has been a tough cookie from day one, and her positivity and strength has been amazing, and I am one very proud friend.

“This is my chance to personally thank the Royal Brompton for everything they have done up until now for Chloe, Steph and Nick and the support they continue to give.”

Rachel is aiming to raise at least £1,000 and if you would like to sponsor Rachel, go to www. virginmoneygiving.com/ rachelbrownhill.
