Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - SPORT -

CHESSVALE Bowls Club (pictured) made it a clean sweep of victories from the three home games they played this week.

They started off by narrowly edging past Wraysbury 96-91, thanks to a highest winning rink from Margaret Harding, Ron Nettleton and Derek Coomber.

Next to visit were Long Crendon, in a match which saw a far more comprehensive Chessvale victory, as the host club won on all rinks – the best coming from Paul Westbrook, Pauline Sizmore, Margaret Baker and Bob Bedford – to rack up an impressive 135-70 scoreline.

Completing the set was an 84-72 triumph over Thame on Sunday, in which Malcolm Andrews, Dorothy Morgan, Freda Holt and Pete Stafford took top rink honours.
