RIDERS will cycle through some of the prettiest Bucks countryside when a charity event takes place later in the year.

The Wembley Road Club 28th Charity Bike Ride, raising money for The Alexander Children’s Hospice takes place on Sunday June 26 at 10am.

Starting at The Plough pub, on Winchmore Hill, Amersham, the route will go through Chalfont St Giles, Chalfont St Peter and Gerrards Cross, down to Burnham Beeches for a lunch stop at The Huntswood Golf Club in Taplow Common Road, Burnham.

The ride will then go back up the hills via The Greyhound in Beaconsfield to finish back at The Plough, a distance of around 30 miles.

As many riders as possible are needed to raise as much a money as possible for the hospice, which is now approximately three quarters of the way through a £4m build in Maidenhead, Berkshire. Visit www. alexan to find out more.

The riders can either get sponsorship or self-sponsor and ‘sign on’ on the day.

Organiser John Morris is riding his 28th ride in his 81st year. Contact him on 01494 722 611 or di.john.wildhatch@btinter for more information.
