Pea­cock and Fletcher cel­e­brate win­ning two tro­phies

ANGIE Pea­cock and Lewis Fletcher were both dou­ble win­ners at Broad­way Bowls Club’s an­nual pre­sen­ta­tion din­ner.

Pea­cock was crowned both ladies and triples cham­pion, along with Colin Webb and Des Bald­win, while ap fin Sa loc pa Al Pe B Fletcher landed both the hand­i­cap tro­phy and pairs, along with Betty Moore.

Men’s cham­pion was Ian Har­vey, while Billy McGowan took home the Club Cham­pi­onship and Sarah Bee­son the Claret Jug for ser­vices to the club.

The novice and two woods were also won by John Wood­stock and Ge­orge Pledge re­spec­tively.

Bee­son and Fletcher have also been se­lected to rep­re­sent Bucks County and the County Pres­i­dents re­spec­tively, while Linda Richards has take over as Bucks County Ladies’ Pres­i­dent.

On the green, Broad­way’s first game of the sea­son was a 78-56 de­feat to Hazells, de­spite high­est win­ning rinks from Bald­win, Arthur Hatchet and Ann Richard­son.

This was fol­lowed by a 65-44 re­verse to Wad­des­don, in which Hatchet was part of the top rink again, along with Pledge and Dave Richard­son.
