Peacock and Fletcher celebrate winning two trophies
ANGIE Peacock and Lewis Fletcher were both double winners at Broadway Bowls Club’s annual presentation dinner.
Peacock was crowned both ladies and triples champion, along with Colin Webb and Des Baldwin, while ap fin Sa loc pa Al Pe B Fletcher landed both the handicap trophy and pairs, along with Betty Moore.
Men’s champion was Ian Harvey, while Billy McGowan took home the Club Championship and Sarah Beeson the Claret Jug for services to the club.
The novice and two woods were also won by John Woodstock and George Pledge respectively.
Beeson and Fletcher have also been selected to represent Bucks County and the County Presidents respectively, while Linda Richards has take over as Bucks County Ladies’ President.
On the green, Broadway’s first game of the season was a 78-56 defeat to Hazells, despite highest winning rinks from Baldwin, Arthur Hatchet and Ann Richardson.
This was followed by a 65-44 reverse to Waddesdon, in which Hatchet was part of the top rink again, along with Pledge and Dave Richardson.
