One great reason to start rhyming
BUDDING authors are being urged to enter a hospice’s annual writing competition.
A Rennie Grove Hospice Care fundraising group, comprising published authors and aspiring writers, is seeking entries for its annual writing competition.
Every year, the Rhyme and Reason group puts together an anthology of the best prose and poetry entries into this competition in the form of an A5 desk diary, which it sells to raise funds for Rennie Grove.
This year the theme is magic and mystery and the group is inviting 400-word prose entries plus poems of no more than 20 lines in length. There are separate categories for children and adults.
The desk diaries will be on sale at www. renniegrove.org for £5 from October and over the past 25 years, they have helped to raise £55,000 for Rennie Grove.
Entries should be emailed to wallisjill@ hotmail.com by Wednesday, June 1.
