CHILDREN took a journey back in time when they boarded a vintage bus.

Early years pupils from St Mary’s School in Amersham recently went on a vintage bus trip to link in with their topic on transport.

Mr and Mrs Paskell own a vintage red bus and charged the children £1 each to receive a ticket via the old ticket machine and go on board.

The double decker bus took them along from Old Amersham to Little Missenden and back again and the children thought it was simply ‘magical.’

Pupil Gabriella said: “I loved ringing the bell as it was very loud.”

Isaac said: “You can see for miles and miles from the top of the bus.”

Edward said: “It was very exciting going upstairs in the bus.”

Mrs Simons, who organised the bus trip with Mr Paskell, said: “The whole day was a huge success. Huge thanks to Mr and Mrs Paskell who made the day so delightful for our children.”
