MAD HATTERS tea party raised nearly £5,000 for char­ity.

The fundrais­ing event for The Cure Parkin­son’s Trust (ICPT) was held at South­lands Manor, Den­ham, and fea­tured, along with the tea party, a fash­ion show of the lat­est millinery trends from lo­cal busi­ness Shu Shu and a his­tory of hats talk from milliner Philip Wright.

Over 100 guests, who all came dressed in hats, en­joyed the party which was or­gan­ised by ICPT fundraiser of the year, Rose­mary Ma­son.

She said: “It was a roar­ing suc­cess with a beau­ti­ful ar­ray of hats and ta­ble dec­o­ra­tions cre­ated by mem­bers of The Chiltern Tex­tile & Em­broi­dery Group.

“The au­di­ence en­joyed a talk by fourth gen­er­a­tion hat­ter and milliner Ian Wright, home­made themed tea and a show­case of this sea­son’s head­wear.”
